What is Mindfulness?

The act of maintaining present, constant, and connected awareness to sensations and experiences.

Why do we teach mindfulness?

It may seem like a simple thing, but teaching students to be present in the moment when we live in a digital world, is essential to their ability to cope with stressful situations as they grow up.  Mindfulness activities help students to develop coping skills, learn relaxation strategies, and regulate their own emotions.

Here's some things students learn from Mindfulness Activities:

  • Slow down instead of rush

  • Pay attention better

  • Stay calm under stress

  • Be more patient

  • Be a better listener

  • Get along better with others
